HUAHUN LITIGATION

HUAHIN LITIGATION Generally, the lawsuit in Thailand is not much different from the other countries except that the Thai court seems to be strict with the court’s procedure. Therefore, the preparation of the case for both suing and defending must not focus only on the laws but also the procedure as well such as the procedure concerning the temporary protection order from the court before the making the judgment.

BANGKOK, 29 May 2014 (NNT) – The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) is considering whether or not it will lift curfew in certain provinces in order to ease the political tensions and the impact on the country’s tourism industry.

According to Deputy Spokesperson of the NCPO Col Nattawat Chancharoen, the army is mulling over lifting curfew in some tourism destinations, given that the political situation is now stable and that there are no signs of unrest.

The NCPO was earlier informed that the imposition of curfew had been affecting the tourism industry as entertainment venues and other tourist attractions, including restaurants and department stores, were forced to close their daily operations down early.

The curfew has been invoked since last Thursday when the military decided to seize power and established the NCPO to run the country. The current curfew hours are from midnight to 4 am in the morning.
